Exterior Development
The exterior of the Potosi Brewery complex is nearing the finishing stages. Limestone and brick walls have been tuckpointed, a new roof covers the structure, and windows and doors have been installed. Volunteers are helping prepare the beer garden for installation of the bricks.
Interior Development
The Great River Road Interpretive Center, Potosi Brewing Company Transportation Museum and Gift Shop previewed on February 16, 2008. Work is being completed on the restaurant area and the national brewery space on the upper stories. The kitchen is quickly closing in.
The brewmaster is working intensely on the installation of the brewing equipment including serving tanks, fermenting tanks, brew kettle, an ancillary malt mill, hot and cold water vessels and all components. We have received our federal license to brew beer and should be in full brewing mode by mid May.
