This smooth and mellow American Pale Ale has notes of fruity watermelon. Light, crisp, and crushable! This is one of our brewery’s limited release pilot batches.
Rhine River will warm you up after a cold winter day with its soft malt character. With hints of spice and fruit flavors, this Blood Orange Saison has a pure white creamy head followed by a pleasant mouthwatering taste. Its cloudy appearance has a strong citrus aroma that will give you the full experience of floating along this European river.
For this year’s collaboration brew we teamed up with the Madison Homebrewers & Tasters Guild and Gorst Valley Hops on a Coconut IPA, using Gorst’s Skyrocket hops for their tropical flavors and equal parts raw and roasted coconut shavings soaked in the fermenter. (and Roasted right in our Potosi Brew Pub) The result is a lively and medium bodied IPA with a prominent tropical nose, light citrus notes and a subtle coconut character and finish.
Centuries ago in the northern reaches of modern day Germany, a master league of brewers had so expertly honed their craft that Bavarian royalty spent decades trying to tempt away their superior method south to Munich. In 1612 they succeeded and it was that craftsmanship combined with Munich malts and traditions that produced the first doppelbock. This is our homage to those brewers of yore. A distinctive doppelbock, rich in malt and toasted caramel with hints of fig and plum. Our very own Northern Method.
Nestled just a few miles across our southern state border you’ll find our nemeses and blood rivals, the Blaum Brothers of Galena. So bitter is our dispute that the only path to a fragile truce was this rich and aromatic Scotch Ale collaboration, brewed by Potosi and aged in Blaum bourbon barrels. Now we toast and drink deep (with one eye open) to preserving the peace. For now…
If you’re a local you know Potosi and Tennyson are joined at the hip. (or the ridge…) So here’s a Hefe for the locals. Low on ABV and big on flavor, this German-Style Hefeweizen is a refreshing delight with notes of banana and cloves, balanced creamy mouthfeel and a pleasant dry finish. Head on down Main Street for a couple Tennyweizens and you’ll still make it back up under the limit.
Aged in hand-selected brandy casks, this singular American Barleywine is decadent and daring in equal measure. Full-bodied, soft and inviting, its fruity notes are soaked in caramel maltiness with a medium hop finish. Like a bitter little secret gently wrapped in sweet treats.
